the race by air, pack these as "carry on" luggage. Many
runners have been left stranded in the past because
shoes and socks were packed inside luggage that was
delayed or lost by the airline.

bringing some clothing that you can discard during the
race after you warm up.
A final note:
Always bring a full range of clothing if traveling out
of town to race. Weather can oftentimes be
unpredictable...so be prepared for anything.
